The 2026 biking season brought plenty of highlights and exciting new additions to Austria's largest bike region, Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. At EPIC Bikepark Leogang, four new trails were available for the entire season for the first time: the flowy T-LINE by GoPro, the beginner-friendly Gateway, the natural single trail Back to the Roots, and the challenging black line Hangover.

The new Tour de Champions added another highlight to the region. Connecting all three destinations, the tour brings the sporting history of the Home of Lässig to life on two wheels, with nine stops at legendary competition venues.

There were also exciting additions off the Lines & Trails: The new Bike Laundry Station in the parking garage at the valley station of EPIC Bikepark Leogang offers a convenient place to wash and dry biking clothes. Perfect for anyone spending several days in the region who wants to hit the trails again the next morning with fresh gear.

25 Years of EPIC Bikepark Leogang – Anniversary Celebrations and New Trails

25 years ago, the first lines opened at EPIC Bikepark Leogang, making it Austria's very first bike park. Since then, EPIC Bikepark Leogang has continuously evolved and grown into the beating heart of Austria's largest bike region, Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn.

During the anniversary year of 2026, four trails completed the previous year were available throughout the entire season for the first time. These included the flowy T-LINE by GoPro with playful jumps and berms, the beginner-friendly Gateway with gentle turns and wooden features, the natural single trail Back to the Roots with technical root sections, and the challenging black line Hangover.

NEW IN 2026: Bike & Hike Xpress between Fieberbrunn and Leogang

From 11 July to 30 August 2026, the new Bike & Hike Xpress connected the Fieberbrunn and Leogang mountain lifts for the first time. This fast and convenient bus service offered visitors and locals a flexible way to travel between the two regions.

Whether bikers looking to switch between the trails in Fieberbrunn and EPIC Bikepark Leogang or take on the legendary "The Challenge" circuit, hikers exploring the mountains around the Asitz and Wildseeloder, or families wanting to discover the Mountain of Senses and Timok's Wild World – the new Xpress provided a convenient connection for a wide variety of mountain adventures.

Ladies Shred at EPIC Bikepark Leogang

Mountain biking is no longer just a man's world – more and more women are conquering the lines and trails with style, courage and passion. But sometimes, all it takes is that extra boost of confidence to feel truly comfortable and strong on the bike.

That's exactly where the Ladies Shred programme 2026 at EPIC Bikepark Leogang came in. With activities specifically designed for women, it created an inspiring environment where participants could improve their skills, take on new challenges and push their limits together.

The focus was on mutual encouragement, building confidence and sharing the joy of biking – all under the motto: Push your limits together, celebrate every achievement and become part of a strong biking community!

New "Bearly Legal Line" in Saalbach Hinterglemm – A Bear of a Trail on the Schattberg

In 2026, the new Bearly Legal Line added a playful red line to the trail network in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Stretching 4.9 kilometres from the Schattberg mid-station down to the valley, the trail descends 582 vertical metres.

Along the way, riders can expect natural obstacles, exciting features, flowy sections and a few surprises. The new line opened with the start of operations of the Schattberg X-Press on 4 June 2026.

New "ScheeLeitn Line" in Saalbach Hinterglemm – A First Step into the Future

The new ScheeLeitn Line marked another milestone in the development of the biking facilities in the Schönleiten area in 2026. While summer operations of the Schönleiten gondola are scheduled to begin in 2027, the first section of the new line was already available as an e-bike and enduro trail from mid-June 2026.

The red line, packed with airtime opportunities, starts at Berghotel Seidlalm or at the end of the existing Wurzeltrail and descends 182 vertical metres over 1.7 kilometres. It offered a first taste of the exciting biking opportunities planned for the Schönleiten area.

New "Wildenkaramba Line" in Saalbach Hinterglemm – For Nature Lovers

Another addition in 2026 was the Wildenkaramba Line in the Schönleiten area. This red-graded, natural trail stretches 1.34 kilometres and descends 143 vertical metres from the summit plateau of the Wildenkarkogel to the entrance of the Thurner Line.

From mid-June 2026, the trail was available for enduro and e-bike riders. With the planned launch of summer operations of the Schönleiten gondola in 2027, even more mountain biking opportunities are set to follow.

Iglmoos Trail in Fieberbrunn Extended

Fieberbrunn also had something new to offer in 2026: the Iglmoos Trail was extended to a total length of 1.8 kilometres, providing even more trail fun for ambitious bikers.

The intermediate-level trail is designed for riders with solid technical skills and offers a varied route with plenty of sporting challenges. Starting at the Streuböden mid-station behind the reservoir, it winds down to the halfway point of the Schweinestberg before merging seamlessly into the Schweinestberg Line.
