  drums\, percussions\, synthesizers\, electronics\n\n\n\nAlgol\, the 'Demo
 n Star\,' originally from the Arabic „Al-Ghul“ meaning 'Demon's Head'\, is
regarded as a harbinger of danger. In fact\, two stars orbit one another\
 , mutually eclipsing each other's light\; consequently\, their brightness
fluctuates periodically: a phenomenon that stargazers historically perceiv
ed as a sign of instability and menace. And while these three experimental
improvisers never eclipse one another\, that sense of menace suits the mi
crotonal music created by Peruvian flutist and aerophone craftsman Camilo
Ángeles\, Austrian keyboardist Elias Stemeseder\, and German drummer Chris
tian Lillinger. Their debut album\, recorded in Mexico City\, drones with
dramatic and dynamic intensity—'structures emerge and dissolve within a co
ntinuum that defies any stylistic categorization.' It is a dream—and a dem
 onic one at that.\n\n\n\nfree entry
