Saalfelden Leogang Rich in Contrast
The down-to-earth holiday village Leogang can look back on a long history and tradition. Known in particular for its mining industry in earlier times, alpine tourism started to put down its roots at the beginning of the 20th century. Today this energy-loaded holiday village stands out due to its high level of innovation. In winter this is shown in particular by the 200 kilometres of slopes in Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang; in summer Leogang is especially convincing due to the wide variety of hiking and biking routes and the unique Bikepark on the Asitz.
Its greatest strength, however, lies in the genuineness of its people and its sense of community, since everything here is still sincere – and this is what Leogang’s guests can sense as well.
Saalfelden is a place close to nature and full of fascination and inspiration. The variety of its conference and meeting services and extraordinary hospitality of Saalfelden make Saalfelden an ideal venue for conferences and corporate events. In the winter, the resort city is mainly famed for skill in Nordic skiing evidenced by many sports greats like Felix Gottwald and Simon Eder. In addition, the small town of Saalfelden has over 140 stores to offer and is thus the largest shopping centre in the Pinzgau region. The impressive range of specialty shops of every kind makes shopping a real pleasure.
